Mr. Escamilla is the founding member and managing principal at ELG Accident Attorneys. Mr. Escamilla is a graduate of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
The son of two Mexican immigrants, Mr. Escamilla saw his parents work hard to support their family. The work ethic displayed by his parents taught him the value of hard work. Holding down multiple jobs while in high school and working through college allowed Mr. Escamilla to successfully complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, leading to Law School at Loyola University.
While in Law School, Mr. Escamilla joined the Loyola of Los Angles Entertainment Law Review, where he served as a staff member and ultimately as editor. While in Law School, Mr. Escamilla also served as an extern with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office. Assigned to the East Los Angeles office, Mr. Escamilla conducted felony preliminary hearings and prepared jury trials. It was with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office that Mr. Escamilla conducted his first full jury trial as a certified law student, even before he was a licensed attorney.
The externship allowed him to log numerous court hours as a law student. In June of 2000, Mr. Escamilla was admitted to the California Bar, where he has remained an active member in good standing ever since. Mr. Escamilla practiced law in Los Angeles for several years before being admitted to the Arizona Bar in 2007. He has limited and dedicated his practice to personal injury matters since then.
Mr. Escamilla is also admitted in the U.S. Federal Central District of California, the U. S. Federal Eastern District of California, and the U.S. Federal District of Arizona. Mr. Escamilla currently manages attorneys and staff at ELG. He continues to maintain his California license and actively assists on injury matters in California and Arizona. Mr. Escamilla is proficiently bilingual (Spanish-English) and is a member of the Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association and the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Escamilla is also a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers.
Mr. Escamilla is proud to be both bi-cultural and a dual citizen of both the United States and Mexico. When not in a courtroom, Mr. Escamilla enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
