Phoenix, AZ – Fatal Multi-Car Crash Under Investigation at 35th Ave & Union Hills Dr
Phoenix, AZ (January 18, 2020) – Phoenix police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred in north Phoenix near 35th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
The accident occurred on Friday around 11:15 p.m. Authorities say that 23-year-old Timothy Romanoski was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Union Hills Drive and drove through the intersection at 35th Avenue. At that time, a man driving a 2016 Honda Civic made a left turn in front of Romanoski’s motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to crash.
Romanoski hit the passenger side of the Civic and was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to a hospital via ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
Officers say speed appears to be a factor in the crash and that the investigation remains ongoing.
