Tucson, AZ – Olivia R. Mena Dies After Pedestrian Accident at Grant Rd & Stone Ave
Tucson, AZ (January 25, 2020) – A woman died on Friday night after being struck by a pick-up truck on Monday.
Olivia R. Mena, 50, was struck at the intersection of North Stone Avenue and West Grant Road.
Tucson Police Officer Frank Magos said that a 2015 Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound on Grant Road behind another vehicle that moved before hitting Mena. The driver of the Tacoma attempted to swerve to avoid Mena but struck her.
Tucson Fire paramedics transported Mena to Banner-University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and say that she died Friday night.
Magos said investigators determined the driver was not impaired and speed was not a factor at the time of the collision, but the investigation is still open.
