Phoenix, AZ – Man Struck & Killed on I-17 Near Downtown Phoenix
Phoenix, AZ (February 2, 2020) – An unidentified man traveling along Interstate 17 near downtown Phoenix was hit by a car and died on Sunday night.
According to a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the man was hit around 16th Street. He was pronounced dead at Maricopa County Hospital after troopers found the man unresponsive and resuscitation attempts failed.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
