Tucson, AZ – Several Customers Injured After Car Hits Laundromat at Broadway Blvd
Tucson, AZ (February 5, 2020) – A car crashed into the windows of Rincon Cleaners & Laundromat, located at 8323 E. Broadway Blvd., around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to authorities with the Tucson Police Department, several people were inside at the time. One man, who was just feet away from the car, had to jump onto a table to avoid being crushed by the vehicle.
The car damaged two washing machines and clipped several customers as it entered the building. Officials with the Tucson Police Department said the driver hit the gas instead of the brake and drove over a parking block before crashing into the building. Officers say that the driver didn’t show any signs of impairment, but the crash remains under investigation.
The vehicle was stopped by a row of washers before any serious injuries occurred, though Tucson EMTs were at the scene to treat victims at the site of the accident.
