Gilbert, AZ – 4 Injured in Serious Car Crash at Pecos Rd & Recker Rd
Gilbert, AZ (February 7, 2020) – One teenager was badly hurt and three others suffered minor injuries in a serious crash in Gilbert on Friday afternoon.
According to officers from the Gilbert Police Department, the two-car crash happened just before 3:00 p.m., near Pecos Road and Recker Road, a short distance away from Higley High School.
Gilbert Police Department Public Information Officer Brenda Carrasco said that the two cars collided while traveling eastbound on Pecos. Carrasco said that there were three occupants in a black car and one occupant in a blue car.
News video from the scene showed the blue car with major damage wrapped around a power pole in the intersection. Another vehicle had skidded off to the side of the road.
At least one person, the driver of the blue car that hit the pole, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital via ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
