Phoenix, AZ – Woman Struck & Seriously Injured on I-17 at Dunlap Ave
Phoenix, AZ (February 12, 2020) – A woman is in critical condition after a car hit her on the Interstate 17 overpass at Dunlap Avenue on Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Mercedes Fortune of the Phoenix Police Department said that a witness reported seeing a woman in the roadway shortly before 6:00 a.m. Police said it looked like the woman, who has not been identified, had been hit by a car and reportedly suffered serious injuries.
Early reports were that this might have been a hit-and-run, but Fortune later said the driver of the vehicle that hit the woman stayed on the scene.
Detectives on the scene were working to piece together the moments leading up to the crash.
