Cordes Lakes, AZ – Injuries Reported in Possible Motorcycle Crash on I-17
Cordes Lakes, AZ (February 15, 2020) – Injuries were reported in a serious accident on northbound Interstate 17 on Saturday afternoon.
Per reports from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the wreck occurred on I-17 in Cordes Lakes at milepost 259, just outside Mayer. Arizona State Troopers arrived on the scene shortly after the crash occurred and said that it appears a motorcycle collided with another vehicle, though they didn’t provide details about each vehicle involved.
Authorities closed the freeway to investigate the wreck. Heavy delays from the accident stopped traffic for four miles, according to a spokesperson from the Arizona Department of Transportation. Officers advised motorists to use alternative routes while they continued to work at the scene and clear crash debris.
