Phoenix, AZ – Isidro Gutierrez-Gomez Struck & Killed at Broadway Rd
Phoenix, AZ (February 27, 2020) – A pedestrian has died after being hit by a pickup truck on Wednesday evening in Phoenix, police said.
Officers from the Phoenix Police Department said that the pedestrian was identified as 58-year-old Isidro Gutierrez-Gomez. Gutierrez-Gomez was crossing 16th Street near Broadway Road around 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by the truck, Phoenix police said in a news release. Gutierrez-Gomez was trying to cross the street mid-block when he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which was traveling southbound on 16th Street.
Gutierrez-Gomez was taken to a hospital via ambulance but was later pronounced dead. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
