Tucson, AZ – Woman Struck & Seriously Injured in Bicycle Crash at N Avra Rd
Tucson, AZ (April 1, 2020) – A woman was seriously injured in a crash that occurred on Wednesday night involving a bicycle and a vehicle.
Just before 7:00 p.m., deputies from the Tucson Police Department responded to reports of a crash at North Avra Road and West Manville Road in Picture Rocks, northwest of Tucson. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release that the bicyclist involved was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The intersection was closed and deputies were asking drivers to use alternate routes while they investigated. No further details on how the crash occurred were released.
