Goodyear, AZ (April 21, 2020) – Two men were hospitalized after a car crash that occurred near Goodyear on Sunday, officials said.

The crash happened near the intersection of Tuthill Road and Queen Creek Road around 4:30 p.m., the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

According to witnesses at the scene, a car with three men in their 20s crashed into another car with two passengers also in their 20s. The two men in the front seats of the first vehicle were taken to the hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Officials said that alcohol is not suspected to be a factor, but speed is considered to be a factor. MCSO traffic detectives are still investigating the cause of the collision at this time.
