Tucson, AZ – Two Dead After Auto Accident at West Roller Coaster Road
Tucson, AZ (July 1, 2019) – An auto accident north of Tucson on Saturday evening, June 29th, left two dead.
A man and a woman died in the crash, which involved a motorcycle and a truck around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at West Roller Coaster Road and North Grande Avenue, near West River Road and North La Cañada Drive.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they found both the man and the woman, who were on the motorcycle, with severe injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Thomas Waites, 69, who was driving the truck involved in the auto accident, was arrested and faces charges, including two counts of manslaughter, driving under the influence, and criminal damage. Traffic investigators took over the investigation, which is still ongoing.
