Phoenix, AZ – Pedestrian Killed at 19th Ave & Southern Ave
Phoenix, AZ (July 31, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a Phoenix street on Tuesday night, July 30th.
According to Phoenix police, 61-year-old Ruben Dominguez was crossing the street in a crosswalk near 19th Avenue and Southern Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound. First responders on the scene said that the vehicle reportedly entered the intersection on a green light when the crash occurred. The driver, identified only as a 27-year-old man at this time, stayed on scene and was not injured in the wreck. A 29-year-old passenger was traveling in his car but their condition is unclear.
Officials say that impairment is not believed to be a factor.
