Tucson, AZ – Serious Injury Wreck Closes I-10 at Speedway Blvd
Tucson, AZ (August 28, 2019) – A serious accident shut down Interstate 10 near Speedway Boulevard and Congress Street on Wednesday afternoon, August 28.
According to officials, the crash occurred when several vehicles collided in the left lanes of I-10 eastbound in at Congress Street, around 5:30 p.m. Police and fire rescue units assisted injured victims and worked to determine the cause of the crash. However, officials have not released the drivers’ information or the extent of their injuries.
All lanes reopened by 8:00 p.m., though all traffic was forced to exit at Speedway Boulevard before the crash was cleared.
