Mesa, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes SR 87 North of Gilbert Rd
Mesa, AZ (September 2, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident closed State Route 87 north of Gilbert Road on Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, the crash involved multiple vehicles that collided in the right lanes of SR 87 southbound, also known as the Beeline Freeway, north of Gilbert Road around 1:15 p.m.
The crash closed the freeway and traffic re-routed through the median.
Fire rescue units and police officials were called to the scene to assist injured victims and investigate the cause of the crash.
No word has been released on the extent of the injuries victims received.
