Gilbert, AZ – Girl Struck by Vehicle & Critically Injured at Elliot Rd
Gilbert, AZ (September 25, 2019) – A 15-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured late Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials from the Gilbert Police Department, the crash occurred on Greenfield Road at Elliot Road, near Guadalupe Road. The girl was crossing the road while riding her bicycle at the canal trail crossing. As she was crossing, she was struck by a vehicle. The description of the vehicle has not been released by police.
First responders were at the scene shortly after the collision occurred and transported the girl to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Police say that neither speed nor impairment were factors in the crash, though the accident remains under investigation.
