Phoenix, AZ (September 26, 2019) – A man was injured in a hit-and-run scooter accident on Indian School Road after a female driver struck him and continued driving. 

The woman was since identified as 23-year-old Khamari Vandell Thomas. She had gotten into an argument with the driver of the scooter, identified only as a man.

Witnesses said that Thomas was driving a Volkswagen Jetta aggressively while driving close to the driver of the scooter. Thomas brake checked the scooter rider and the man crashed his scooter.

The driver of the scooter was thrown from the scooter and struck his head on the ground. He suffered multiple skull fractures, a brain bleed, and other serious injuries.

Thomas made several 911 calls but never stopped at the scene and continued driving to work. She was charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
