Tucson, AZ – 3-Car Crash Results in Fatality on I-19 Near Rio Rico
Tucson, AZ (September 29, 2019) – One person has died after a three-car crash on Interstate 19 near Rio Rico.
Authorities say the crash occurred early Sunday morning at 5:30 a.m. on the northbound side of I-19 near milepost 25. Officers from the Tucson Police Department said that three vehicles were involved in the wreck and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. According to officials from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the condition of other drivers and passengers, as well as the types of vehicles and the circumstances leading to the crash, are still unknown at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
