Phoenix, AZ – Woman Struck & Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on 43rd Ave
Phoenix, AZ (November 1, 2019) – A woman was badly injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Thursday morning.
Per reports from officers at the Phoenix Police Department, the woman was attempting to cross mid-block on 43rd Avenue near Indian School Road. As she was crossing, she was struck by a car that fled and continued northbound on 43rd Avenue. Phoenix paramedics arrived on the scene to transport the woman to a local area hospital, where she is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Police don’t know much about the suspect or car but hope to find surveillance cameras in the area. Police also said that there a wheelchair on the sidewalk next to the crash, though authorities don’t know if the woman was in the wheelchair when the crash occurred. She was conscious when police arrived, but she did not give them many details about the crash.
