Gilbert, AZ – Early Morning Crash on AZ-202 Loop Leads to Injuries
Gilbert, AZ (November 7, 2019) – Around 5:30 a.m. this morning, Phoenix Police responded to the scene of an early morning crash that involved several parties.
Police did not comment on the circumstances leading to the collision but one silver sedan was badly damaged as a result of the collision and turned around in traffic in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
Due to the severity of the accident and the need for emergency response vehicles, police completely shut down the right lane of traffic for several hours as they investigated. The scene was quickly cleared and delays stopped in the area within hours.
Paramedics allegedly assisted one injured victim. At this time, it is not known if they were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
No other details have been released but the investigation is ongoing at this time.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
