Phoenix, AZ – Hit-and-Run Crash Seriously Injures Motorcyclist at 7th Ave & Mohave St
Phoenix, AZ (November 17, 2019) – Authorities in Phoenix are investigating a hit-and-run accident that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.
Phoenix Police Department officials were dispatched to the scene of the accident around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to official reports, a woman riding a motorcycle was hit by a car near 7th Avenue and Mohave Street. Witnesses told police the car went east on Mohave Street after the wreck to flee the scene, but police say their information helped them locate the car shortly after the accident occurred.
Due to the severity of the motorcyclist’s injuries, the hit-and-run driver will be booked for aggravated assault. Police officials say investigators are looking at impairment as a possible factor in this wreck, though the accident is still under investigation at this time. The identity of the driver and the motorcyclist have not been released.
