Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in Hit-and-Run Wreck at Camelback Rd & 43rd Ave
Phoenix, AZ (November 25, 2019) – A driver fled the scene of a crash, which occurred when they collided with a parked Phoenix Police Department vehicle early Monday morning.
According to reports from the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road after 2:30 a.m. as authorities were investigating a different collision. The police vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the collision, but the driver accelerated after the crash, clipping two officers within the intersection. The driver fled and police later recovered the vehicle near 55th Avenue and Camelback Road.
The suspect has not yet been located, though the incident remains under investigation. The two crashes are believed to be unrelated, per reports from officials. Phoenix EMTs arrived shortly after the incident occurred and treated the officers at the scene.
