Tucson, AZ – UPDATE: Lisa Martinez Killed & Man Injured in Accident on SR 90
Tucson, AZ (November 26, 2019) – A Huachuca City woman was killed and a Sierra Vista man remains in the hospital after a head-on crash in Sierra Vista on Tuesday.
According to Sierra Vista police officers, they responded to a collision on Highway 90 at Airport Road around 6:00 a.m. They discovered two vehicles with extensive front-end damage, which were blocking northbound travel. Witnesses told police that a Pontiac minivan driven by Lisa Martinez, 40, crossed the center line and struck another driver’s Buick sedan. A police report stated that Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Buick, a 66-year-old man, was airlifted to a Tucson hospital.
Detectives have not determined if impairment was a factor in the incident, though the crash investigation is ongoing.
