Scottsdale, AZ – UPDATE: Carl Foster Killed in Pedestrian Crash at Hayden Rd
Scottsdale, AZ (December 1, 2019) – Authorities have identified a man who was struck and killed by a car on Thanksgiving night.
According to reports from the Scottsdale Police Department, a car hit the man in the area of Hayden Road and Indian School Road around 8:45 p.m. The man was transported to an area hospital by Scottsdale paramedics, where he later died. The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Carl Glenn Foster.
Sgt. B. Reynolds from the Scottsdale Police Department said that neither speed nor impairment was a factor in the crash, but the accident remains under investigation. Hayden Road was closed from Indian School Road to Thomas Road while police collected evidence and cleared the scene.
