Tucson, AZ – Dale Foxworthy Killed in Motorcycle Crash at Oracle Rd & Glenn St
Tucson, AZ (December 8, 2019) – A motorcyclist died last Saturday, days after sustaining injuries in a collision with an SUV on Tucson’s north side.
Officers were dispatched to North Castro Avenue and West Laguna Street on Wednesday around 5:30 p.m., northeast of North Oracle Road and East Glenn Street, for a serious injury collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
According to a news release from the Tucson Police Department, the motorcyclist, Dale Foxworthy, 52, was taken to Banner University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries three days later.
Officers say that Foxworthy was riding his motorcycle southbound on Castro Avenue and started to make a westbound turn onto Laguna Street when he was struck by a westbound SUV that failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection.
The driver of that SUV, Mickey Antonio, 38, remained on the scene. However, officers noticed signs of impairment and determined Antonio was under the influence after administering a test, the news release said. He was booked into Pima County Jail for felony aggravated DUI, as well as aggravated assault charges.
Our condolences are extended to the family of Dale Foxworthy at this time.
