Avondale, AZ – Injuries Reported After Car Crashes in Building at Indian School Rd
Avondale, AZ (December 10, 2019) – A car crashed into the side of a West Valley donut shop on Tuesday, resulting in minor injuries and extensive property damage.
According to authorities from the Phoenix Police Department, the accident happened around 8:25 a.m. at the Daily Donut shop, which is located in a strip mall near 107th Avenue and Indian School Road in Avondale.
The driver who crashed into the shop suffered from a medical emergency right before the accident. Police say that the driver and the passenger of the car were both transported to a local area hospital via ambulance. Furthermore, the crash caused extreme damage inside the store, knocking down walls and spreading debris and rubble throughout the shop.
The donut shop will shut down temporarily following the accident. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
