Mesa, AZ (December 10, 2019) – Deputies from the Mesa Police Department said that a woman died after being struck by a car near Ellsworth and Broadway Roads on Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. to treat the woman, though it appears that she was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office say that the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

It is unknown if speed and impairment are factors at this time, but the accident remains under investigation. No further details about the victim’s identity or the driver’s identity have been released.
