Mesa, AZ – Jose Espinoza ID’d in Injurious DUI Crash at Broadway Rd
Mesa, AZ (December 13, 2019) – An alleged DUI driver has been charged after hitting a motorcycle rider in Mesa on December 8th.
According to officers from the Mesa Police Department, Jose Lopez Espinoza, 47, was driving erratically near Broadway Road and Alma School Road.
Witnesses reportedly told police that Espinoza nearly hit a pedestrian before causing the motorcycle accident. Following the witness reports, Espinoza allegedly turned in front of a motorcyclist, causing a crash near Broadway Road. Court records show that the motorcyclist sustained several serious internal injuries and two broken legs, though the motorcyclist’s identity has not been released.
Police are still investigating the incident at this time.
