Peoria, AZ – UPDATE: Clint Rasho Arrested in Injurious Crash at Peoria Ave
Peoria, AZ (January 7, 2020) – A man has been arrested after leaving the scene of a crash Monday morning that left a 12-year-old girl in critical condition.
Clint Rasho, 40, was driving a 2008 Infiniti SUV shortly before 8:00 a.m., southbound on 43rd Avenue when he collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Impala in the left-turn lane. According to a Phoenix police news release, a 38-year-old woman was driving the Impala with her four children, ages 9 to 15.
The impact pushed the Impala into a 2013 Dodge Durango driven by a 37-year-old woman. Both the Impala and the Durango were stopped and waiting to turn into a private drive. Officers from the Phoenix Police Department say that Rasho drove away from the crash scene and was found by officers in the 10300 block of North 43rd Avenue.
After the crash, a 12-year-old girl inside the Impala was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Rasho was arrested and booked into Fourth Avenue Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, endangerment, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and her family in hopes of a full recovery.
