Black Canyon City, AZ (June 6, 2020) – A multi-vehicle accident blocked the left lane of Interstate 17 past New River on Saturday afternoon and resulted in at least one injured person.

According to authorities, the crash occurred when multiple vehicles collided in the left lanes of I-17 northbound at milepost 242 around 12:30 p.m. Police and fire rescue units responded to the crash and were assisting injured victims. Officials were also at the scene to determine the cause of the multi-vehicle wreck.

The extent of the victims’ injuries is not known at this time, though the accident remains under investigation.
