Casa Grande, AZ (August 1, 2019) – On Wednesday night, July 31, police responded to the scene of a head-on collision that occurred due to DUI on SR-387.

The accident took place between a vehicle and a commercial truck. The passenger vehicle driver was driving drunk when she suddenly slammed head-on into the truck after driving erratically, according to police.

The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. A second-vehicle immediately rear-ended the commercial truck following the accident.

One person was injured and hospitalized following the crash. The driver was charged with DUI, aggravated assault, and other related charges.

At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
