Chandler, AZ – 2-Car Crash Injures Officer at Warner Rd & Hartford St
Chandler, AZ (November 9, 2019) – A two-car crash involving a Chandler Police patrol car left one officer with minor injuries on Friday night.
According to Sgt. Jason McClimans from the Chandler Police Department, the two-car collision happened at Warner Road and Hartford Street, just east of Alma School Road, around 7:00 p.m. McClimans said that the officer in the patrol vehicle attempted to swerve and avoid a car that turned left in front of them. The patrol car then crashed into a light pole and caught fire.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital via ambulance. The other driver was not injured in the accident.
Police said the investigation of the accident is ongoing and closed the surrounding roads for several hours.
