Chandler, AZ – Rollover Truck Accident Causes Injuries on I-10 at Riggs Rd
Chandler, AZ (November 23, 2020) – Westbound Interstate 10 was closed in Chandler on Monday morning after a rollover crash involving a dump truck occurred, resulting in possible injuries and serious backups on the highway.
Per reports with the Chandler Police Department, the crash happened near Riggs Road around 10:00 a.m. According to officers and authorities with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the driver of the dump truck does not have serious injuries but it’s unclear if the other victims involved in the wreck sustained injuries requiring further treatment or hospitalization.
The truck required a heavy-duty tow and crew to clean up, so an extended closure of the highway was in place. News footage from the scene showed the truck blocking all lanes of Interstate 10 at Riggs Road. Several fire rescue units and local EMTs were also dispatched to the scene of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
