Chandler, AZ (December 21, 2020) – The intersection at Val Vista Road and Riggs Road in Chandler was closed on Monday morning after a serious two-vehicle accident.

Officials with Gilbert fire rescue tweeted that the accident involved a total of four people. Two of the victims were ejected from their car, and one of them was taken to the hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries. Fire crews and Phoenix EMTs responded to the scene shortly after the crash occurred, and reported that the other victims were being treated at the scene.

The victims’ identifying information and current conditions have not been released at this time, however. The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident continues.
