Flagstaff, AZ – Injuries Reported in Tanker Truck Crash Near I-40 & Butler Ave
Flagstaff, AZ (March 16, 2020) – A tanker truck crashed near Interstate 40 in Flagstaff on Monday night, causing a massive fire and at least one serious injury.
Officers from the Flagstaff Police Department say that the crash happened around 8:00 p.m. on Butler Avenue under the I-40 bridge, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The crash caused eastbound I-40 to be closed but the road has since reopened.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the driver of the truck had a possible leg injury and was transported to a local hospital via ambulance.
It is unclear what caused the accident and how many other victims were injured, but the accident remains under investigation at this time
