Fountain Hills, AZ – UPDATE: Man Facing Charges After Injurious Crash at Shea Blvd
Fountain Hills, AZ (February 10, 2020) – A man is facing several charges after officers say that he crashed into a Fountain Hills home on Sunday morning.
According to officials, Rosario Vega was booked into jail once he was released from the hospital. Officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said he was speeding when he hit another car and then slammed into the garage of a house near Shea Boulevard and Palisades Boulevard around 10:30 a.m.
Vega and his female passenger were seriously hurt and were taken to the hospital. It appears that one person inside the home may have been injured as well, though updates on their condition were not made available.
Deputies are looking into if alcohol or drugs were factors. Vega is being charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of endangerment.
At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
