Gilbert, AZ (Feburary 28, 2020) – A multi-car accident on Loop 202 near Lindsay Road resulted in at least one injury on Sunday afternoon.

According to officers from the Gilbert Police Department, emergency crews and local authorities were called to the scene near Lindsay Road around 5:30 p.m. Authorities say that a sedan was traveling westbound on L-202, also known as the Santan Freeway, when it collided with another passenger vehicle. The area was closed while police worked to clear the scene and investigate the wreck. However, they haven’t released further details on the events leading up to the collision.

At least one victim was treated or transported to an area medical center by paramedics, though an update on their condition has not been provided.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
