Gilbert, AZ (June 21, 2020) – A Gilbert toddler was hospitalized after being found unresponsive in a residential pool on Sunday.

Officers say that they were dispatched to the scene around 7:30 p.m. At that time, the Gilbert Police Department and Gilbert Fire and Rescue Department both responded to a 911 call reporting a drowning in the area of Houston Avenue and Lindsay Road.

Rescue personnel performed CPR when the arrived at the scene and rushed the child to an area medical center. Fire personnel said that the child’s current condition is unknown.

The drowning accident remains under investigation, and it’s unclear who owns the residential pool where the child drowned.
