Glendale, AZ – Injuries Reported in Multi-Car Crash at 56th Ave & Northern Ave
Glendale, AZ (October 30, 2019) – A collision shut down both directions of Northern Avenue and resulted in several injuries on Tuesday.
According to officials from the Glendale Police Department, officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the area of 56th Avenue and Northern Avenue on Tuesday evening. Per Sgt. John Roth, a spokesman for the Glendale Police Department, a vehicle speeding eastbound on Northern Avenue struck another vehicle and pushed it into westbound traffic. At that point, the vehicle hit another car in the westbound lanes.
At least two of the three cars involved were occupied by children, said Roth. Impairment does appear to be a factor in the accident, and minor injuries were reported, including injuries to an 8-year-old girl. It appears that one victim was transported to an area hospital.
