Glendale, AZ (May 29, 2020) – A man is seriously hurt after being struck by a car in Glendale early Thursday morning.

According to Sgt. Tara Ochoa with the Glendale Police Department, the crash happened just after 2:00 a.m. near 59th Avenue and Northern Avenue. A car that was heading northbound on 59th Avenue hit the man, who was crossing just north of Northern Avenue.

The man was transported to the hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries. Ochoa said the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and was not impaired, though officers did not say whether speed was a factor in the crash.

No other details have been released, but the accident remains under investigation.
