Glendale, AZ – Two Killed & Three Injured in Fatal Crash at Glendale Ave & Glen Harbor

Glendale, AZ (October 18, 2020) – A woman and a teenage boy have died after a crash in Glendale that involved several vehicles on Saturday night.

According to reports from the Glendale Police Department, officers responded to the crash involving three cars near Glendale Avenue and Glen Harbor Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night. Once officers arrived on the scene, they determined through their investigation that one of the vehicles traveling westbound on Glen Harbor Boulevard rear-ended a second vehicle. At that point, the impact of the crash pushed the second vehicle into oncoming eastbound traffic, where it struck a third vehicle.

The driver of the second car was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. A woman in the passenger seat of the second car died at the scene, however, and a teenage boy in the backseat was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries via ambulance. He later died at the hospital.

The driver of the third vehicle sustained minor injuries and did not need to go to the hospital. The driver of the first vehicle stayed at the scene, and one of two people in that car was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

Both speed and impairment are being investigated in the crash, and police say no arrests have been made at this time.

Detectives are still investigating and have not released further details at this time.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the deceased victims. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
