Lake Havasu, AZ – DUI Boating Accident Results in Serious Injuries
Lake Havasu, AZ (September 18, 2019) – One man was detained Monday evening after the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said he crashed a boat while under the influence.
Mohave County authorities responded to the crash on Lake Havasu shortly after 10:00 p.m. to investigate and assist injured victims.
According to police officials, 33-year-old Levi Brown was driving a boat with eight people southeast on Lake Havasu, approaching Site 5, when he struck a marked underwater peninsula and crashed. Several individuals were ejected into the water as a result of the crash, but all eight passengers were able to reach the shore.
One man and one woman suffered serious injuries and were transported via ambulance to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
