Maricopa County, AZ – Fatality & 2 Serious Injuries Reported in Crash at Usery Pass Rd
Maricopa County, AZ (April 27, 2020) – A head-on collision has left one man dead and two other men seriously injured on Sunday night.
According to officers with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Usery Pass Road and Bush Highway, southeast of Fountain Hills. One of the men was pronounced dead on the scene, and deputies say the other two men were taken to a local area hospital with serious injuries. One man has life-threatening injuries, while the other man is expected to survive. All other passengers involved in the accident sustained minor injuries.
Traffic detectives went to the scene to investigate and determine the cause of the crash, though it is unclear if speed or impairment had anything to do with it.
The accident remains under investigation.
