Maricopa, AZ – Eight Hospitalized After Serious Car Crash on State Route 238
Maricopa, AZ (July 2, 2019) – Police claim that eight people were hospitalized following a serious car crash that took place on State Route 238 in Maricopa.
The accident, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said that the accident took place around 6:28 a.m. on Monday, July 1st on the eastbound side of the highway.
One minor was seriously injured in the accident and airlifted by medical helicopter to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Two other adults were flown as well. Five others were transported by ambulance to the Maricopa Medical Center.
The eastbound route was closed for approximately one hour while an investigation took place. All eight patients were treated and released from hospitals by 11:00 a.m.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
