Mesa, AZ – Car Accident Blocking Lane on Red Mtn Freeway


Mesa, AZ (September 24, 2019) – This morning around 9 a.m., police and other services responded to the scene of a car accident blocking one lane on the Red Mountain Freeway.

According to police in the area, the accident involved multiple vehicles and immediately blocked the HOV lane of traffic. This led to severe delays in the area for morning traffic.

Police are not sure of the exact circumstances leading up to the accident or how many were injured, though photographs taken at the scene showed that paramedics and other emergency responders were present. It is assumed that one or more parties were treated or hospitalized due to their injuries.

No other information has been released on the accident. However, at this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
