Mesa, AZ (February 3, 2020) – A 6-year-old child died after being hit by a truck in Mesa near the area of Power Road and Jensen Street. 

According to Mesa Fire and Medical, the child was standing on the corner of the intersection when a semi-trailer turned the corner. At that point, the back end of the vehicle jumped the curb and struck the child. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the crash occurred and transported the child to a local area hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. 

The accident remains under investigation.
