Mesa, AZ – Injuries Reported After Truck Hits House at McLellan Rd
Mesa, AZ (November 6, 2019) – Injuries and extensive damage were reported after a pickup truck crashed into a home in Mesa on Wednesday evening.
The accident happened near Country Club Road on McLellan Road, which is south of McKellips Road. News video showed that the truck went into the front of the home. The short brick wall between the house and a neighbor’s property was also damaged. Authorities say that it’s possible that the pickup plowed through both walls before crashing into the home.
A neighbor said a man got out of the truck with his wife and a baby and then returned to his truck, driving away from the scene. A woman was in the house at the time and sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Mesa paramedics arrived at the scene of the crash shortly after it occurred to treat the woman, but it is unclear if she was transported to the hospital.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident and have not found the driver of the pickup truck. They believe that impairment or driver distraction is responsible for the incident.
