Mesa, AZ (December 14, 2019) – Officers from the Mesa Police Department are investigating an accident that occurred at a Mesa Burger King on Saturday morning.
According to authorities, the incident happened near University Drive and Lindsay Road. Mesa police say that a driver pulled up to the drive-thru area and employees suspected the driver was drunk. The driver was then asked to pull around and park and wait for their order so that they could call the police.
Before officers arrived, the vehicle pulled into a parking spot and crashed into a building wall. A person inside was injured during the crash and was transported to a local area hospital with a serious leg injury, though specific details on that victim have not been released.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a quick recovery.
Injurious Car Accidents in Arizona
According to recent crash data, nearly 130,000 collisions happened in Arizona last year alone. Reports from the Arizona Department of Public Safety show that more than 11,000 of these accidents involved at least two drivers and several injuries or even deaths. When it comes to these injurious and fatal accidents, victims are left to pick up the pieces.
And if multiple victims are injured in an accident, they must negotiate with other drivers’ insurance companies, deal with long-term physical pain, and scramble to cover expensive hospital bills. Occasionally, victims succumb to their injuries, leaving their grieving families to cope with emotional trauma and financial difficulties as a result of another driver’s negligence.
But the victims and their families affected by these wrecks can seek help from an injury attorney. A skilled attorney can help victims seek justice and the fair compensation they deserve from suffering in an accident that occurred through no fault of their own.
