Mesa, AZ – Injuries Reported in Hit-and-Run Crash at Hawes Rd


Mesa, AZ (September 30, 2019) – A multi-car crash on Sunday evening resulted in injuries and a hit-and-run situation.

Officials from the Mesa Police Department say the wreck happened just before 8:00 p.m. near Hawes Road and Broadway Road. Two cars collided at the intersection and then struck an electrical utility box, causing a power outage.

Mesa paramedics responded to the accident and treated victims at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. One of the drivers of the automobiles that were involved ran from the accident scene, according to police. Police have not identified that individual and have not released details about the injuries or vehicles involved.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
