Mesa, AZ – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR 87 at Gilbert Rd
Mesa, AZ (January 8, 2020) – A multi-vehicle accident closed State Route 87 southbound near Gilbert Road on Wednesday evening and resulted in several injuries.
According to authorities from the Mesa Police Department, the crash involved multiple vehicles that collided in the right lanes of SR 87 southbound, also known as the Beeline Freeway, north of Gilbert Road around 10:15 p.m. Fire rescue units and police officials were called to the scene to assist injured victims and investigate the cause of the crash, but no word has been released on the extent of the injuries victims received.
The crash remains under investigation.
